The worldwide current practice of the structural design sewers is based on procedures which usually include effects caused by chemical and biological deterioration. However, in last few decades, many sewer pipes have been designed using reinforced concrete succinctly considered such deterioration promoters. Indeed, knowledge related to processes has become an important issue when forecasting expected or remaining lifespan sewers. Within these processes, thickness strength losses porosity augments found be result vital activity sulfur-oxidizing bacteria some types fungus. This paper presents a rational methodology that uses biodeterioration measurements describe how can affect probability failure during lifetime was obtained Monte Carlo simulations numerical sampling from lognormal uniform distributions. reinforcement strength, geometric properties, H2S concentration headspace, load values were as main sources uncertainty. results indicate service vary between 55 37 years for low high concentrations, respectively.
